As you may have noticed, the forums got a new suit lately, and with that new suit comes many changes. One of them being the way polls are created.
So this is a brand new tutorial on how to make a poll on boolprop.com

1. When you create a new topic, if you go to the very bottom of the page you'll see this:

2. Click on "Poll Creation" and you'll have this:

Poll question: This is where you put your poll title (ie: Who should be Cel's Legacy Next Heir?)
Poll options: This is where you put the different possibilities. Don't forget to put each option on a new line
Options per user: This feature allow you to decided whether each member can vote only once or several times. In Legacy Polls it usually is only one but it can be usuful for other types of polls :D
Run poll for: allows you to decided how long your poll will be open. If you choose 0, your poll will run indefinitely.
Allow re-voting: If enabled users are able to change their vote.

If you want your poll to be closed, just report it clicking on !, asking for your poll to be locked.

To make the voter's choice easier in Legacy polls, you can post pictures of your potential heirs in the poll.
To put a picture in a post, you must first upload your picture (find it in My documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhood/N##/Storytelling) to an host site* (you don't have to do this if the picture you're using is part of your story on the Exchange) then right-click on it and copy the image's url. To post in on boolprop, you must copy said url between the tags. More details about this in Sjt's tutorial or in Bitsy's FAQ
