An Apocalypse of Ice (Chapter 18: 04/14/12)

And here we go again! Inspired by George R.R. Martin's series A Song of Ice and Fire, and now the HBO series Game of Thrones, I started an Apocalypse featuring Sansa Stark (not my character, of course). By the time I got to generation 3, I realized that there was a story afoot, bumped up my graphics settings, and actually started taking pictures. The plot explosion followed.

Generation 1:
Chapter 1: Winter Is Coming
Chapter 2: The Pack Survives
Chapter 3: Giving Up On Greener Grasses

Generation 2:
Chapter 4: Try To Move Your Feet
Chapter 5: In Loco Parentis
Chapter 6: Anything That I See

Generation 3:
Chapter 7: A Good Start
Chapter 8: Don't You Worry
Chapter 9: Letting You Fly

Generation 4:
Chapter 10.1: Fairyland
Chapter 10.2: Whatever You Want
Chapter 11.1: A Touch of Iron
Chapter 11.2: Polishing Bronze
First Apocaversary Interlude: The Winter Door
Chapter 12: A Piece of Wood That Wept
Chapter 13: Stoneheart
Chapter 14.1: Set Yourself on Fire
Chapter 14.2: Underwater
Chapter 15 & Second Apocaversary: Lost at Sea
Chapter 16: The Spin Zone
Chapter 17: Five Heirs
Chapter 18: Power (04/14/12)

Spinoffs:
Will's Bachelor Challenge
Stark Family Tree

Restrictions lifted below (as of 4 rotations ahead of the last chapter):

Spoiler:
Natural Science (Sansa)
Adventurer (Addison)
Military (Kennedy)
Law (Brandon)
Medical (Mal)
Culinary (Chris)
Education (Julian)
Science (Jan)
Show Business (Arthur)
Gamer (Will)
Athletic (Sabriel)

I didn't know we were having issues over here.

Chapter 17 - Five Heirs:
Spoiler:
I really liked the chilly, brooding feel of this update, and the back-and-forth between Will's hopelessness and Meg's hopefullness scenes. I also liked the mystical ramifications of how lifting the restrictions affects their world.

Go Starks!

(P. S. If you prefer to get your comments at LJ, I can certainly do that.)

Lorin: I really thought I had logged in to respond to your comment! *hides*

Spoiler:
Thank you! This was a fun chapter to write, because I liked orchestrating the interplay between the scenes, and it re-contextualized everything you saw before.

And now I'm bumping for Chapter 18: Power. Enjoy!

Nope, no ADWD spoilers! Most of the ASOIAF/Game of Thrones references are in the setup. There are some allusions as the story goes on, but none of them go beyond A Storm of Swords.
