Martin's series A Song of Ice and Fire, and now the HBO series Game of Thrones, I started an Apocalypse featuring Sansa Stark (not my character, of course). By the time I got to generation 3, I realized that there was a story afoot, bumped up my graphics settings, and actually started taking pictures. The plot explosion followed.

Nope, no ADWD spoilers! Most of the ASOIAF/Game of Thrones references are in the setup. There are some allusions as the story goes on, but none of them go beyond A Storm of Swords.
