Need Legacy Rules!

PostPosted by modelmgt » Sun Dec 18, 2011 4:31 pm

Alright Boolprop! I have an Idea for the next generation in my Uglacy, but in order to do it I want to make sure I'm not violating the legacy rulebook. I.E. I am in love with someone for heir but not sure he's legally able to fill the role! Will someone please post the rules on Boolprop, then reply here with the link? Gracias. :s_thumbsup

Thanks alot! Was being told that it wasn't posted here yet.. didn't specifically answer my question though, as it only went so far as to say they can only marry townies or NPCs in.. what about bringing someone back (as heir) from a previous generation? Is that legal? Doesn't say I CAN'T :-)

Is this an example of what you're talking about:

Your founder is Bob. Bob marries Sue and has twins Alan and Amanda. Alan is heir and gets abducted and has a kid named Belinda. Amanda remains on the lot to help raise Belinda and dies in a tragic kitchen accident. Belinda later ends up having a kid by a playable (she doesn't marry him, just tries for baby with him) named Carl. Carl then gets married and has a kid named Evan. You're wanting to resurrect Amanda to marry Evan?

If so, that would be minus however many points you do for incest.

Or are you wondering if Amanda wouldn't have produced uglier kids so you're wanting to replace her as heiress? If so, you'd be back to her as the generation 2 heiress. She can't trace her lineage back through Carl and Belinda or even Alan.

Neither are against the rules, one just costs you some points while the other will set you back some generations.

That is of course, if I'm getting what you're referring to. Without knowing specifics, we can't really answer the question.

yeah, sorry about not giving specifics- I really want it to be a surprise! Nothing that complicated. It's more like.. I have all these sims just sitting since they did the college thing, and if I wasn't particularly drawn to any of the current hopefuls (for heir)let's say, and just to have a backup plan if I were to move one of those kids(that are in limbo) back home, then marry them to one of the townies and continue the legacy THAT way..

So a just in case your heir has a freak accident you have a place to continue from? That's legal as long as the Sim has never lived off of the legacy lot except for going to college.
