Pah! What sort of awards would it be without some attempts at rigging, blatant ballot stuffing and tactical voting and all the arguments that go with it?
It's all just a laugh anyway, but people may well vote for friends over and above more deserving candidates because that's human nature. Years ago I used to be involved in the now moribund postal gaming circuit, which had all sorts of awards and arguments over the nominations and even what methodology was used to calculate the results, but that was part of the fun of it, same as with seeing who wins the Oscars or whatever and shouting "what? that load of old cobblers?" at the telly. Part of the fun of ballots is the uncertainly as to how many will go for head over heart in who to vote for.
If you win again and anyone starts moaning about the results, treat it as water off Palmer's back!
